Event Management Officer

Pamir Law Group (PLG) is a US-style international law firm and consulting group based in Greater China with offices in Taipei, Shanghai and Beijing. We seek successful candidates who are able to design, plan and co-ordinate for high quality, large scale worldwide and China based events, within budget and on time. The events will focus on promoting (i) global/Chinese environmental sustainable development as well as (ii) Chinese art/culture and museum industries.

Responsibilities

  • Design high quality, engaging and deliverable event programs in close liaison with clients and the production team.
  • Lead proposal research and development tasks.
  • Develop and maintain budgets for each event.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to obtain preferential terms and conditions including payment schedules and rates.
  • Ensure that all operational elements for allocated events are completed in a timely manner, including budget updates, production requirements, supplier contracts, guest communications, collateral and client updates/contact reports, reconciliations and operational documents, supporting other members of the Event Management Team as required.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with clients and partners.
  • Manage and motivate all operational staff to ensure the smooth running of each event.
  • Anticipate potential difficulties in the delivery of each event and ensure that appropriate contingencies are in place

Requirements:

  • 3 years experience in a similar position.
  • College degree in a business (Marketing, Public Relations, Communications), hospitality (Travel, Tourism, Hotel), art history or foreign language/linguistics related fields.
  • High degree of personal confidence, resilience and initiative with excellent organisational and planning skills.
  • Proactive positive work attitude, strong communication skills, high EQ and team player mentality.
  • Ability to work independently. Able to work under pressure and multi-task efficiently.
  • Able to work quickly without sacrificing accuracy. Willing to work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to work seamlessly in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Excellent spoken and written English and Chinese skills essential.
  • Expertise with Microsoft Project software.
