China's Future Sixth Generation Leaders - Willy Lam in Taiwan

Professor Willy Lam delivered a presentation for members of the European Chamber in Taipei (ECCT), titled "Looking Over The Horizon: China's Future Sixth Generation Leaders". The presentation was organized by ECCT's Greater China Committee, chaired by Pamir partner Nicholas V. Chen.

Professor Lam discussed the personalities, backgrounds and motivations of China's new fifth-generation leaders, expected to take over in 2012, as well as the younger, more confident sixth generation cadres in their forties, who recently rose to provincial leadership posts. He also discussed how future generations of Chinese leadership might change the perspectives, policies and implementation of China’s international relations, domestic policy and cross-Strait relations.

Professor Lam also attended a dinner and round table discussion organized by the "Society of Orpheus and Bacchus".
