Mike Chinoy, award winning journalist and Senior Fellow at the University of Southern California’s US-China Institute, presented his latest documentary in a joint event by the ECCT China Committee (chaired by Pamir partner Nicholas V. Chen), AmCham, and the Taiwan Foreign Correspondents Club. “Assignment: China” tells the stories of the first foreign correspondents to establish bureaus for major western medial outlets after the US and China resumed diplomatic relations in 1979.
A screening of the documentary was followed by a panel discussion including Don Shapiro from AmCham’s Topics Magazine, Peter Enav from Associated Press and Ralph Jennings from Reuters.
